The church of Østerlars is the largest and most famous of the round churches in Bornholm.
There are two attics on top of each other. The staircase is inside the tick wall.
In addition to the retaining walls on the outside there is a very wide hollow pillar in the centre.

The gate of the churchyard closes automatically.

The baptistery (where baptisms are performed) is in the middle of the church inside the hollow central pillar.

This votive ship is hanging from the ceiling. It reminds us that Svaneke is a harbour town.
